Soundfoam O
Soundfoam O is an acoustic quality, open cell, flexible polyester based polyurethane foam. Soundfoam O is our original Soundfoam, which is based on a unique urethane foam formulation to provide a uniform cell structure, high physical properties, excellent sound absorption, and good heat, humidity, flame, and chemical resistance.
The sound absorption performance of elastic porous materials is determined mainly by the porosity and air flow resistance (air permeability) of the materials. Soundfoam is one member of this class of materials. Soundfoam’s porosity and air flow resistance have been specified to achieve the maximum NRC in a given foam thickness. The NRC values for various surface patterns are available upon request.
It is available with various surface patterns including embossed, diamond, embossed honeycomb, convoluted and plain. These patterns enhance Soundfoam’s ability to provide maximum sound absorption in minimum thickness. For customer convenience Soundfoam can be supplied with a high performance pressure sensitive adhesive in "ready to use" custom die cut parts.
