Soundfoam ML HY D is the latest in the Soundcoat melamine foam portfolio for thermal-acoustic absorption.
In addition to being a water-repellent, fiber-free, lightweight, flexible, open cell, melamine based acoustic quality foam, Soundfoam ML HY D also features compelling sustainability characteristics.
- Offers up to 50% lower Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) over other melamine foams.
- Manufactured in a resource-efficient process that utilizes 100% green electricity.
- Fossil raw materials are replaced with renewable feedstock from biowaste at the beginning of the production value chain and attributed via a mass balance approach.
- Certified according to REDcert2, a voluntary sustainability certification scheme.
Soundfoam ML HY D has excellent sound absorption and flammability resistance. It does not drip upon ignition, ceases to burn after removal of source ignition, and produces a minimal amount of smoke.
Soundfoam ML HY D is the darkest color offering available (nearly black!) making it an excellent choice for visible applications that demand an elevated aesthetic.
