SOLAS is an integrated acoustic solution engineered to reduce and block reverberative noise through a lightweight, high-performance system that is 1) Fire safe, 2) Fiber-free, 3) Compatible with fire suppression systems, and 4) Customizable to existing spaces.

PRODUCTS

SOLAS Grids

Patent pending SOLAS Grids are engineered to provide an efficient and reliable solution for managing reverberant noise in open industrial spaces. These lightweight, modular acoustic grids are built to absorb and diffuse sound energy, reducing echo and improving overall sound quality and acoustic comfort. 

Sizing: Standard SOLAS Grid assemblies consist of eight interlocking 1.5” panels and four corner mounting points with positive attachment.

Materials: High performance melamine foam (such as Soundfoam ML G+) with an acoustic fabric facing.

Specifications: Meets ASTM E84 Class A for fire resistance.  

SOLAS Cubes

SOLAS Cubes effectively absorb sound energy to minimize reverberation in targeted locations. Cubes are encased in an acoustically transparent fabric sleeve for easy installation and are available in standard or custom colors. 

Sizing: Standard SOLAS Cubes are 24” x 24” x 24” and weigh a mere 5.5 lbs. Custom sizes are also available.

Materials: High performance Soundfoam ML G+ with a fabric sleeve, nylon strap, and plastic buckle.

Specifications: Complete assembly of cube, sleeve, straps and buckles meets ASTM E84 Class A for fire resistance.

SOLAS Panels

SOLAS Panels are optimized for vertical surface applications and are engineered to absorb and control reverberant noise reflecting off hard surfaces like walls, partitions, and enclosures. SOLAS Panels can be mounted to walls with a variety of commercially available construction adhesives, with pressure sensitive adhesives supplied with the panel from Soundcoat or suspended as baffles.

Sizing: Available in standard thicknesses of 1” or 2” and standard sizes of 24” x 24” or 24” x 48”. Custom sizes, shapes, bevel cuts, logos, and other design features are available. 

Materials: High performance melamine foam (such as Soundfoam ML G+ or Soundfoam ML D) with an acoustic fabric facing.

Specifications: Meets ASTM E84 Class A for fire resistance.

Pre-install acoustic testing

We measure sound intensity throughout the space, and identify unknown sources of noise with acoustic cameras when needed. We identify patterns and problem zones, and develop acoustical heat map report of the facility.

Engineered solution

We produce acoustic digital model of the facility with virtual addition of treatments and predictive analysis of acoustical impacts of such treatments. In some cases, we work directly with the equipment manufacturer (conveyors, sorters, etc.) to further reduce noise at the source. We target material placement for your specific noise profile and layout.
